The role of sleep in recovery of athletes – Dr Mathieu Nédélec – 24 February

This is an invitation to our next lecture on 24 February at 17:30 at d’Coque followed by a workshop for coaches. The lecture is free to attend and no registration is required. Attendance is limited to 100 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the lecture will be available on the LIHPS Facebook page.

Mathieu Nédélec is a researcher in sports science at the Institut National du Sport, de l’Expertise et de la Performance (INSEP) with more than 10 years of experience in high level sport. His research focuses on new discoveries and scientific knowledge on recovery and sleep in high performance. Coming from the Sport Science and Physical Education Department of the École Normale Supérieure, his research is interdisciplinary. It combines physiology, psychology, as well as human and social sciences in order to understand performance and sleep in all their complexity.

The presentation will be in French with English slides and is primarly aimed at coaches and athletes, and is open to the general public. The presentation (+/- 45 min) will be followed by a workshop (+/- 60 min). There will be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.
