Lecture: “Optimisation de la récupération en sport : L’influence de la cryothérapie corps entier et d’autres approches” – Christophe Hausswirth – 11 October

Our guest speaker, Dr Christophe Hausswirth, is currently the CEO of the “Institut BeScored”, a cutting-edge centre specialising in technology validation for businesses, particularly in the fields of sport and health. Additionally, he is an associate member of LAMHESS, Université de Côte d’Azur and an adjunct professor at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia.

Among other positions, Dr Hausswirth was head of the scientific and medical department of the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy and was director of the research department of the French National Institute of Sport (INSEP) for two decades, where he contributed to six Olympic Games. Since 1995, he has been a recognised physiologist focusing on recovery and nutrition for high-level athletes.

Having worked with over 300 top athletes and coaches in various individual and team sports, Dr Hausswirth has extensive experience as a sports physiologist. He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance. In April 2013, he co-authored the book “Recovery and Performance in Sport” with I. Mujika, published by Human Kinetics, which covers topics like cold exposure, recovery therapies and sleep patterns for athletes.

The lecture will be given in French and is primarily aimed at coaches and athletes, but is also open to the general public. The presentation itself will last about 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. We hope to see you there!
