CTTC-E visit to the HPTRC

As part of a training camp organised in Luxembourg by the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Tennis de Table (FLTT) and the China Table Tennis College Europe (CTTC-E), a Chinese delegation from the CTTC-E was warmly welcomed at the Centre National Sportif et Culturel d’Coque on the morning of 29 August. The delegation included the legendary Zhang Yining, winner of 4 gold medals at the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games, as well as 10 gold medals at the World Championships.

Experts from the Luxembourg Institute for High Performance in Sports (LIHPS) showed them around the facilities of the High Performance Training and Recovery Centre (HPTRC) at the Coque and explained how LIHPS supports Luxembourg’s elite athletes. The delegation then had the opportunity to observe a table tennis training session.

The visit is part of a knowledge exchange with experts from the CTTC-E and contributes to the development of European table tennis in general.
